Android Question [SOLVED] Problem installing SDK

I'm trying to install a fresh copy of the android SDK using the SDK manager (B4A 8.50), but after a while I get this error:

And then the SDK manager hangs.

Any pointers?

Currently the process starts without setting the heap size. It uses the default size.

Try this:
Go go B4A installation folder and run:

java -Xmx2048 -jar B4ASdkManager.jar

Does it work?

Sorry. It should be:

java -Xmx2048m -jar B4ASdkManager.jar

Now it is running! I'll report back if it finishes.

Note that the java version I'm running is (because I use it for B4J):

java version "9.0.4"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 9.0.4+11)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 9.0.4+11, mixed mode)

Now it did complete without an error.

I don't know if it is related, but it looks like a lot is missing in the download e.g. the support-v4 jar files and the google-play services. In fact, the whole folders c:\android\extras\android seems to be missing (which has the folder support) and the folder c:\Android\extras\google\google_play_services does not exist either.

I didn't unselect/select any other than the recommanded ones.

Attached is the (rather long) log from the SDK Manager.

EDIT: and the installed-components.txt file from the C:\Android\extras\b4a_remote folder.

There are no such jars anymore. My guess is that everything needed is there.

Oh, good to know! Has been a while since I had to do something with B4A. I will have to try to find out how one now creates a library which uses google play services (e.g. for Wear OS)
