I am using a medical muscle listening device to extract information from muscles. It behaves essentially like a microphone and plugs into the microphone jack on the Android device. This way we can record the sounds and save as audio, which can then be uploaded to sever for analysis.
The downside of this approach is the huge amount of data to be stored and transmitted. If we could do preliminary analysis on the android device, the size of these files would be greatly reduced. We require at predefined intervals timestamp and strength (dB) of a number of frequencies.
Having searched this forum, I understand this sort of analysis is not currently available, but is on the wish list of many developers. Are there plans to add this facility, if so when may we expect it to be released? Or is there an existing app which could produce this data and hopefully having an API which would allow our B4A app to control the tests? Or maybe you can advise another way to do it?
Thanks!
