Android Question StdActionBar IncludeTitle: False

Trying out the example that comes with the first post about the stdActionBar library.
I don't want any title, but when I set IncludeTitle: False in Region Activity Attributes I get:
java.lang.NullPointerException at:
bar.NavigationMode = bar.NAVIGATION_MODE_TABS

Any idea what the problem could be here?
I am using B4A version 10.0

Why use this library if you don't want to show the action bar (title)?

I am using AppCompat now, but thought that that wouldn't work with B4XPages.

You probably don't need it with B4XPages. Which features are you missing?

All I need is a toolbar/menubar that remains available at the top to all application screens.

You don't any library to add menu items:

OK, thanks, that will simplify things a lot then. Will that code make the menu available to all pages?

No. Each page has its own menu. It is trivial to create a sub in MainPage that creates the menu, and call it from other pages.
