Android Question Store image file to database local

I use the database local in mobile.
It is possible to store an image in the database?
I need downloaded image and store image in the database.
The app WhatsApp have functionality.
I want to add image storage functionality in the database for my app , if possible!

Would probably be easier to just store the image on the device and put a database entry that has the image filename.

I do not want to leave the image for easy user access.
I want to hide this image.
For example , if you can store the image content in the database and retrieve when needed.
