iOS Question TabBarController in Layout

I have a layout and I would like to add a system of tabs inside the layou, same as TabHost of the android, as I have a fixed bar on top and another on the bottom, I would like to add the tabs in the middle of the screen.
Is it possible to add the TabBarController anywhere?
How do you define his position on the screen?

It is not possible with TabBarController. TabBarController cannot be embedded inside a different controller.
