What is a talent show for me?
it is a way for the entertainment industry to distribute a product made with non-professional artists at a low cost and resell it as a high-level product.
Probably if you knew that a show, a program or a movie is bad with mediocre actors and artists would not even watch it. But I watch a talent show because you think you can judge and express your opinion on what you see. then you will still be watching a show that apart from some exceptions will be performed by poor performers.
I'll give an example to explain myself better. You would never go to a restaurant where you know the chef is poor or that the service is bad. You would probably go to the best place you could afford for your salary.
Now let's imagine that an entrepreneur has a smart idea, in his restaurant every week he will try ten cooks and each one prepares a dish.
Whoever goes to that restaurant will have to rate the dish and finally and you have to will choose the best cook. You will eat or at least taste each dish to make a judgment and eventually pay the bill in full as if you had a decent meal.
The entrepreneur will have sold his dishes, even bads ones, at a low cost because the cooks are on trial and you went away happy and maybe you will return despite having paid full price for a bad product
