what is the way to adjust vertical distace between text fields to make them usable as if they was a twolines text field ?

two fields look more sepatated as a several lines one .

The user experience with two fields will never be as good as the experience with a single multiline field.

But the "waste" of writable area with single line fields is very expensive .....

You should use a single multiline field.
