Android Question text on bar notification

how to display text in the top bar of the screen. it has already the hour there, battery etc.

As far as i know you can show a icon for an running service. But i think you can not show any text there.
Remember: The bar is outside of your app/activity.

with android 4.2.2 and you can have multiple users for the tablet.
when the user has chosen it no longer has the record of one connected
so I would put the name of the user in the notification bar
it may be another solution !!!
