B4J Question Text to speech on raspberry pi3

I post this question after having sent it unsuccessfully in the Italian furum.
I would like to handle Text to Speech on a raspberry pi3 device using B4J.
Can someone give me some hints?

There is no built-in speech engine on the RPi. You can install Android Things on the RP3 and then use B4A TTS library for this.

You can create the wav with jshell and play with B4J or jshell again.

See towards the bottom half of the Android Things Getting Started - I had the same question and Erel tested it and speech synthesis worked. I think that was the last time I looked at Windows IoT (was going to do some sort of speech recognition and sysnthesis using that - I suspect Andriod Things will be far easier.

Meanwhile I had found the same solution. I created a small Python script that I launch from Jshell. I have to say that all the tests I did have worked perfectly.
Pico is the best text_to_speech engine I have found.
