You get paid per click and not per showing ads at least with admobs. There are some ad network that pay you per video watch but i dont know if there is a lib for b4a.

So it depends on how much the ad was worth (how much the advertiser was ready to pay for a click on his ad) if he pay more you get more. So my advice point your app to a big community like europe/usa.

6000 clicks per day can make you about 500$ (average)

It is more worth to give your app for free then sell it because if you sell it let say for 1$ then this is the maximum amount you will get from that costumer but with ads you can get much more!!

The developer wrote only: "I am now regularly displaying 10,000 full screen interstitials per day".

Moreover, if it is necessary for the user to click on interstitials, these are only harmful, since they are in full-screen.

Damn, you (all) should learn Italian

The right thing would be:
a) you use banners and you earn only if the user clicks on them;
b) you use interstitials (then a "full screen banner") and you earn just for displaying it

If the user needs to click on the interstitial so that you earn, then it is better to use banners, they disturb less.


Anyway, perhaps the first thing needed is... to publish an app

User can exit the interstitial add by pressing the back key or press on the big X at the top of the ad.

Then about 71.5 impressions - 1 click.

To get those 6,000 clicks (and those 500$ ) per day you need about 6,000 x 71.5 = 429,000 impressions / day. Very easy

I'm sure it depends on where the bulk of the ads are shown (geographically), but in my case about 1800 clicks will earn $500. My CTR averages about 1.3%, so I need about 140,000 impressions to get those 1800 clicks. Keep in mind though, that this is across all my apps - so it's a mixture of banners & interstitials. Banners generally have a much lower CTR & a much lower Impression RPM than interstitials, but a much higher number of impressions. Personally, I think banners are pretty much a waste of time if you're trying to generate revenue because they are easy to ignore & compared to interstitials are boring - hence the much lower CTR. Ultimately it's a numbers game. The more impressions you can generate, the more you will earn - however there are ways to maximize that revenue (like using interstitials instead of (or as well as) banners.

There is always the concern about pissing users off with too much or too annoying advertising, but if publishing apps is your only source of income then you have to find the optimum formula for displaying ads & generating revenue - & realize that there will be people who won't use your apps because of those ads.

It always irritates me a little when I get feedback or emails complaining about ads in my apps, because those people are obviously happy to use my apps but they put zero value on the time & effort I put into developing them. For those apps that I have paid ad-free versions of, I simply reply by saying that if the ads annoy them too much, they can download the paid version. I have only ever had one person reply & say that they don't pay for apps - so I guess that person either puts up with the ads, or uninstalls the app.

Is there a reason you don't have more users from the US & Europe? I don't really know why my apps have mostly been downloaded in the US. I was living in the US when I originally published them, but I don't think that is the reason. It could be that they are all published in English (US) - but I don't know.

the app that makes me 90% of my revenue is in hebrew so most users are from israel, i have the same app also translated to english, german, france,... but i dont have there much users for now.
