My expected income this year from the apps I created was ruined due to covid pandemic. All I can hope is for the next year but... Google has different opinion.
I came across this article which clearly states that:

1) Firstly there will be a new Google Play Billing Version for the next year which obviously will render my class for InAppPurchases obsolete if this change is faced nearly next summer (so PLEASE Erel - if you want - do your magic until the end of this year in order to have time to adapt my InApp Purchases class to the new library)

2) Secondly - and this a severe problem - is that at some time in 2021 the App Bundle will be mandatory (in other words kiss .apk goodbye). What are we doing on this? Erel at the end of this message there is some help for you to get it done.

Here is the article:

Erel here is some help to create the .aab file:

About Point 2....
Maybe it will be related to the final publish, but locally during development it could remain untouched the ability to generate APK.
Hopefully.......

App Bundle - the most important part is that you have to hand over the sign keys to Google.
