There is any way to use Alexa as speech to text ?

Hi All,
There is any way to use the Alexa as speech to text only ?
i.e. Alexa normally take speech commands and run it, I need to use it as Speech to Text and send the text to Cloud DB or to uController (that will take the related action)
by this way Alexa work as powerful and high sensitive continuous SpeechToText.
