Android Question to adjust how long the message shows

this is regarding the custom toast message code slippet .

I'm wondering how to adjust the duration, number of seconds, the message stay on before disappearing, if possible

You can not change the length to show of a Toast.

You can show a own Dialog, Panel or whatever by yourself. Even how long...
