transparent color

Thanks Erel for your suggestion. I tried yor advice and set the background color to be transparent in a PNG file using Mircrosoft Paint but the bitmap (sprite) background is still visible. Any other ideas? Is there a link to a simple program that has a single sprite moving over a contrasting background to get me started?

Here is a png file that its background is transparent. When editing the picture you have to clear the background, not color it transparent.

Figured it out

Used Paint.net instead of MS Paint. Now it works fine. thanks!!

I use icoFX to manage icons, there is a free version available 1.6
