TTS maximum

Greeetings to all from Newbie or Junior...

I have been working with TTS, and I believe that there is a limit of 4000 characters that you can pass to TTS... Could not get confirmation on any of the posts...

I have tested on two tablets, both 4.04 - same results. 39xx characters works just fine in about 8 different languages.

Java error (not too descriptive) is Error speaking text.

I will do further testing on a Nexus tablet 4.2...

I don't think that the maximum length is documented. You use PhoneEvents to handle the TextToSpeechFinish event and use it to split the text.

For what is worth to other users, I searched the web and found the same problem with long texts on TTS pointing to a 4000 character limit.
