Android Question UI buttons

I'm using some standard android buttons, but my client wants buttons like the above style. I can crop these images, and put them in the app as an image view, but I mentioned to him that scaling would be a problem.

Is there anything that would come close to the above style?

Looks like text in a label with gradient image as the background.

Scaling isn't a problem if you use 9patch images.

Ok, how do I use 9patch images in my app? Where can I make these buttons? I need two buttons, one with an image and the other with text.
