Under Tools - New item - Run Program

The Run Program is a user defined exe (or whatever) that was defined in the "Configure Paths" section. It will also pass the current projects path and name as a param.

This will allow us to call a program to perform certain actions on the current project - such as source code format....

Check the new custom build actions feature. You can use it to run programs during build. You can then press on alt + 2 to build the project and run the programs.

I agree with the original request. Would allow things like the Object Browser to be executed by hitting something like F2.
Build actions are good, but doesn't cater for something like this that is not build related.
