Share My Creation Unlocator auto IP updater - Now that's what I call RAD

Rapid Application Development, definitely.
Developed in 54 minutes flat

It's now in the Play Store

This service app will also be promoted by Unlocator.

Unlocator is a service that allows you to watch(for example) USA Netflix, USA Hulu etc in other countries. You need to be subscribes and a paid up member of Netflix, Hulu, Marvel etc for the Unlocator service to work.

This app has been designed to run as a background service. Every 'X' minutes the service will automatically send your current IP address to Unlocator, this keeps the Unlocator servers up to date without the need for the end user to constantly update their IP address manually online.

I would usually not put such a simple app on 'Show Your Creations'. But as this was created in such a short amount of time using B4A and basically worked first time, I thought that I would upload it anyway. I just wanted to show developers that a basic app can be created from scratch, tested and uploaded to the Play Store in less than an hour(54 minutes flat) Now that's what I call RAD...

The Google Play Store link is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplysoftware.unlocatorautoupdate

You've got to like the simplicity of developing in B4A...

Tried it out...works great! Thanks!

Can you confirm it will NOT communicate the IP-address assigned to my phone when I am away from my WIFI-networks at home or else my wife/son will kill me

PS: I asked the guys at Unlocator if they could furnish APIs or at least something to change also the region from the phone. They said they are working on it and will publish it on their FB-page when ready.

Hello @moster67 sorry for the delay in responding to your post.
The only IP address that is sent to the Unlocator server is your internet IP address at the router end, not the device IP address.

I'm still waiting for them to update their API for region swapping too, even thought I use use that feature. I personally leave mine on United States

Thank you for your kind words...
