Unlock a trail version to a full version?

So far I have been a restrictive version and a full version, it had the SQL data from the trail version with export and import are included in the full version.
I would now like to have a little app unlocks only the trail version.

an idea would be if I was in the installation directory of the trail version create a license file from the full version and this file in the trail version query if the license file is present in the trail version free unlock all features.
That would work but it?

Uh Oh! Are you saying that if I develop something in the trial version I will not be able to use it in the full version?

kind of cryptic. Not sure "what" your referring to. are you talking about the trial/full version of B4A? if so its illegal to unlock a trial version of B4A unless you install the full version on top of it, and paid for (of course)

But at the same time, are you talking about your own app having a trial/full version support? and not B4a?

Sorry for any confusion, maybe I am misunderstanding Paulsche's question because of my Newbie status. I thought you two were talking about B4A and got alarmed because I thought you were implying his stuff wouldn't work when he converted from the trial version of B4A to the full version (legally of course). Certainly that's not the case, right?

oh sorry, I meant, of course I'm developing my own app and sell the Google Play Store.
I try to describe it to understand:

I have an app as restricted free version and a full version.
If the user has installed the free version, then later installed the paid full version, then he needs to export the data of the free version and import it into the full version.
There are APPs Google Play where the full version only causes a release of the free version and the free version is a full version with all the existing data.

How can I create the easiest?

Three possible solutions:
- the settings and data of the free version are saved in a folder of your choice on the SD card (and both versions use the same folder of course);
- add a function in your full version to automatically import the data (by communicating with the free version). Not recommended because the free version may be uninstalled before the new one is installed;
- the full version is in fact an add-on version. The free version gets new features by calling intents of the add-on version.

I also think that will be the best solution.
I just need find the installation directory of the Free version in the add-on and then enter in a text file, for example, a key that is requested in the free version.
So I'm going to try.

Or, use the same package ID and keyset for both versions, so when the paid version is installed, it "replaces" the free version and retains its data. I do this all the time.

Can I temporarily install a trial version on a computer that has the old full version installed? It does not hurt the old full version?

Thanks for the answer. I have a licensed full version 5.5, but it seems I lost the license code. Therefore, I'm afraid to put a trial version.
