Looking at acquiring a USB-C -> FTDI cable. Does anyone have any long-term applications using something like this?
Has it proven to be rock-solid reliable and what would be the maximum BAUD?

The quality and length of a cable influence the maximum data speed. For example, a TTL-232R cable claims to be fully compliant with the USB 2.0 specification. The high speed USB (USB 2.0) specification is: 480 Mbps. Whether this is achieved is of course also influenced by the speed of the OS processor and the speed of the receiving party.

Oh sure. I actually do a lot of 422/485 interfacing for industrial control. Mainly communicating with remote MCUs.

Just looking for confirmation that the Android solution is robust and reliable. 1.8MBAUD is probably my upper limit but usually much lower than this.

Craig
