Using microphone in my app

Hi all,

I am new here and I am searching for a demo or info how to check the mic input.

I only want to recognize sounds with a defined laudness.
(For example a shot).

So I want to count how many shot are in one minute for example or want to save the time where the shot comes.

I also want to adjust the sensitivity in the app.

Does anybody has information for me (what lib I have to use, may be an example...)
