Android Question using phone ID for registeration

I wan tot use phone ID to register authorized users only for using the application. I want to know how to handle this, should I hide the ID from appearing?
what is the best way to handle this?

* show an error message box 'device 12345 not registered' then copy the ID and send it in an email for regesteration! or,
* send the ID to server in 'silent' then inform the user 'registered ok'

Why use PhoneId? It requires a sensitive permission.

FirebaseAuth is probably even better.
