Virtual Designer new tablet size

I would like to see the new virtual designer have the tablet's screen size between 800 and 1280 added. It is currently missing.


600x1024 @160dpi

or

1024x600 @160dpi

These are the options for default screen displays that you can select to choose a screen type.

I will add it to the abstract designer list in the next update. Note that this list can be modified by editing the text file named AbstractLayouts.txt which resides in Basic4android folder.

Now that's interesting! Might be worth holding a central, downloadable version somewhere? Then it can be updated and maintain centrally?

Oh, here's a nice online Screen DPI / PPI Calculator I come across

You can copy the attached file to Basic4android folder. It includes the Galaxy Note spec.

a problem, i have modify the file AbstractLayouts.txt, i added a row with new variant, ??? the designer returns an error: error parsing AbstractLayout.txt.
I removed then line, but the error remains, why?

Which editor have you used? You can download the one from the previous post and overwrite your file.

Ok, have found the problem, then last line of the file AbstractLayouts.txt should not contain "CRLF".
