W11 in virtual machine

W11 on unsupported w10

I was watching the above video which shows how possible the impossible turns out to be (even MS tells you how), and wondered :

If I recall correctly installing an OS in a virtual environment means stripping the drivers and other config changes as required. Has anybody tried to install W11 into as a virtual, and, if so, did it want to do all the checks for TPM and OS and nose-picking-tools, before it would install?

My ancient logic engine says logically it shouldn't/can't do that - and - but - logically should fail.....

VMware Workstation 17 Pro officially supports installing and running Windows 11 virtual machines on Windows 10 hosts. Furthermore, starting with version 17, it has built-in full support for vTPM 2.0 (Virtual Trusted Platform Module), allowing you to pass the Windows 11 hardware requirement checks without needing to use various bypass methods.

A few days ago, I successfully installed Windows 11 Pro on an older Windows 10 computer that does not support TPM using VMware Workstation 17 Pro.

Did that in virtualbox using all registry tricks to bypass checks...
working extremely good...

Have in mind that if you wanna clone it at the future and want to use it in a lan is possible but first change the SID

Normally do but been avoiding W11 which isn't getting good press even from Old Bill (reportedly).

Behind this question subject here, is one I posted previously about the disappeared USB connections under W10 (but not all of them, those with their own driver still work - went cam, printer - storage NOPE).

I've been waiting for enough "want to" to put this W10 into VirtualBox and see what happens....but there's always want to versus have to......but only after the forum's advices......
