In the search box (top-right), the search icon (the magnifier) does not respond to click. I must hit the enter key on my computer keyboard.
When I type the search criteria then no problem I can hit Enter easily, but when I paste it from the clipboard, then it would be more easier and convenient to continue to use the mouse instead of putting it on the side and hit Enter.

The magnifying glass is part of the same image that is used for the whole text area. This fact means it cannot behave how you wish without some big change. Otherwise if you clicked any of the textbox it would search. It's like a custom background for a edittext in android terms. It is there to show the field is for search use. Nothing denotes that you should click it to search
Though I must agree, looking at it, it would be the intuitive response.
in most (must be careful in saying standard) Internet interface, the magnifier icon is used for search and is clickable, so one expects it to respond to a click. besides it is very convenient when pasting the search text from the clipboard.

Indeed, this is why I put that this would be the intuitive response. I was just letting you know my findings from inspecting the element with the likes of firebug.
