webview on panel

i am looking to put a series of panels in an activity and then on each panel have a webview then dynamiclly load different webpages to each panel.
this is done so that each webpage can be made to slide.

Is this possible and what could be done to reduce the memory usage because there could be a lot (hundreds) of pages loaded during the course of the program run

It is possible. However to reduce memory you can use one or two WebViews and just change the Url.

with sliding panels i guess i would need at least 3 to allow users to slide back and forward. Is there a way to reduce the memory loading the html itself?

Loading 3 webviews should work good enough. A single WebView can show many pages (think of a browser).
