What exactly are "Core" and "Type"?

I have never been able to find a definition of what is meant by "Core" in the help system. I assume that it refers to commands in B4A as opposed to being in external libraries?

Under Core in the HelpViews, it says "List of types". I don't know what "type" means in this context and in this case, I can't even guess.

I see a lengthy list of Keywords in there, but most of the other entries are individual functions such as DateTime, Timer, etc.

Almost all of the internal commands are implemented in Core.jar. This library is always referenced.
"List of types" is a list of objects types available, except of Keywords which serves as a link to the available keywords.
For some of these types there is a predefined object: File, Bit, DateTime and Constants.
