where do files go on mobile device

I am sure this has been asked many times before. Maybe a new sticky for first time users?

I have finally received my mobile device and i am wondering where is the best place to create a folder on the ppc to put my executable and assorted files

i have tried searching but the terms i am using either brings up nothing or millions

I guess that depends on what exactly you are trying to do.
My Documents or a Folder on a Storage Card is the best option.
With the storage card you can easily copy files to and from a PC.

If you want a folder say in Basic4PPc in Program files a file explore addon is needed.
File Explorer Extension freeware for Windows Mobile Pocket PC.
The default Windows Mobile open/save files is limited to My Documents and a Storage Card.

If you are using a Mobile emulator this thread can be helpful.
