When I paste that data in other text related stuff the asterisks don't show up. It doesn't show up when I paste it only after it has been posted.

The asterisks are converted to the diamonds. The text stored in the database probably includes some illegal characters. Maybe because of wrong encoding.

Try to open the database with any SQLite viewer and check the values stored.

I used Sqlite expert professional to import the text file and everything looks fine. How do I view the database created with B4A?

Attached is a txt file with a line that has 5 white diamond question marks. I can't find anything that shows it except here and in B4A.

Where the asterisks show the bytes in the file are value 0xA0 instead of the expected 0x20 so it looks like your database has some duff characters in it.

Whew. Ok. Had to convert from ISO 8991-1 to UTF 8.
