Check https://developer.android.com/index.html if there is an API. I don´t think there is one.

So, I have to scan Wi-Fi network every few seconds to see if the device is connected?

How are you finding connected devices? The device doesn't know which other devices have connected to the network.

i thought to make an ip scan (ping test) and check if a specific mac address respond .
I would like to use the Amazon Dash Button (only 5€) with my application

Ping works with ip addresses not MAC addresses. You will need to ping all possible addresses and you will not be able to know which device responded.

anyone can create the wrap library ?

i even tried to look into the "proc/net/arp" but i find only the router ip/mac

No. It is a python library. You are not able to wrap this with java.
Based on the architecture (python) i guess the lib is not intended to run on android.

Hi all,

These Amazon dash buttons seem to be cool.
It would be really helpful to have a way discovering them on the local network.

When connecting they send ARP probe on the network. This guy succeeded in discovering them with a python script.

Could be funny to do the same on B4A.

Do you know if there is way to do it :
- snif an ARP probe ?
- find a new Mac address on the local network ?
