Android Question Widget not showing in widget list

Hello,
some seven or eight years ago I made the attached very simple app and widget and it always worked. Now I removed the widget and wanted to add it again. But it suddenly doesnt show up in the widget list anymore. I looked at the widget example and run it and that worked. I can not see why my app should suddenly not show up anymore. Any tips on whats going on?

Thanks, strange. I tested it on an emulator and it also showed up. Just on my phone (Samsung A51) it does not.

I am on Android 11.
If you have an higher version it could be needed some adjustment.
Not sure about it.
