I've been using this with Basic4PPC for ages, but a little while ago I had to reinstall W7U. Now I can't compile!!! It says it can't find the .NET 2.0 files. So I do the obvious and try to install them. The installation does nothing after saying these files are already part of the system! Just in case I then tried also insatlling the SDK. That worked but I still can't compile. So I downloaded the MS suggested .NET 3.5. But that seems to be a suspiciously small file, even before download. Running it doesn't seem to do anything!

So, we obviously had a solution to this otherwise I couldn't have been successfully compiling until recently, but I'm damned if I can remember what it is.

Reminders please? Grovel! Please nicely!

You should download .Net Compact Framework 2.0.

Like I said "So I do the obvious and try to install them." How do you think I did that? I already have the files, but the set up won't run because that version is integrated into W7. It reports that as a reason why it won't run.
I've found a version 4.5.1. I'll try that.

OK, you may want to know this......

1. Try install of compact and it says, already installed! So I take the Cancel option. Can't compile.
2. Try install of compact. This time I take the continue option and I can compile!!!

I think something must have broken in the Compact Net installation. Moral, do re-installs even when they look un-necessary!
