Here is the guy from dronebot workshop giving some insights on the new arduino Q. He is explaining everything and the good thing is that we can still use the MCU part of the Arduino Q board with our beloved B4R. An other worth mentioning part is that Qualcomm did the same thing as B4J's PyBridge concept in the new "AppLab" programming environment as it is described on the other stuff that they are discussed in the video. At last an interesting concept is "bricks" which are codeblocks that are used directly as libraries to allow you to make an app more complicated and sophisticated just by using them.
