Android Question Google Maps v2 "white map" B4A v6.0

I have B4A v6.0, Google Play Services 31, Google Repository 31 and API 23 & 24. I have tested the Google Maps v2 example and displays "white map".

Next I have downloaded to the devie(s) the googlemaps.apk to verify if my setup is correct and displays "white map" as well. Tested on two different devices LG G3 one rooted the other unrooted with the same (negative) result.

Google Play seems working as expected on both devices.

Any suggestions?

You forget to upload your project ;-)

Most likely:

- api key not set
- manifest snipped not added
- mapfragment not added with the designer

May be I was not clear enough. My project details are irrelevant at first place.

I have downloaded (as suggested elsewhere in the forum) the compiled app from www.b4x.com/android/files/googlemap.apk.

I have installed and tested it on two different devices (LG G3, one rooted the other unrooted) and displays "white map" on both.

Google Play services seem to work as expected on both devices.

What could be wrong?

New apk tested on the unrooted device and it DOES work now.

Has anything changed in the underlying mechanism that I should know about in order to duplicate sucessfully the Google Maps v2 example?

It is based on the latest version of Google Maps (v2.0).

It is also possible that the key used in the previous app was revoked at some point.
