I'm writing a new Tetris clone now and am making some changes, such as being able to slide the pieces when they land, but I've not looked at "bumping" pieces inwards, like when you rotate a line next to the wall. I've never heard of many of the extra rules he talks about. My main Tetris playing days were back on the Gameboy when I was 11. I am tempted by Tetris effect VR on the Quest though.
