"Battles of Hercules" the area of the southern Spain close to the straits of Gibraltar was indeed visited by ancient Greeks

Yes, I lived at about 100 km. from Gibraltar (one of the Colums), and we can see from Tarifa (the southernmost point of Spain) Africa clearly (Morocco is 15 km away).
Just a few days ago, a new theory about the location of the Temple of Melqart-Hercules has emerged. It's now supposed to be in San Fernando (near Jerez)...

And anyway, we the latin people sure we have a lot of common things, thanks to mare nostrum¡¡ (btw, I love the name of a Spanish airline: "Air Nostrum")
