B4J Question ABMaterial web app and converting to android/ios

Hi to all!

I am exploring ABMaterial framework for developing web apps.
I have some questions about this topic so I hope someone will help me to decide if this is good way for me.


1. I can't find any affordable web hosting packages with included support for jar executions. Thats mean I have to purchase some VPS where i should install java and mysql?

2. There are many web services/tools for converting web apps to native android/ios apps. Is it possible to convert b4j web app with this converters?

From questions above is obviously that I want to use ABMaterial for creating usefull web apps and afterwards to create android/ios apps?

What do you think about this way of work?

Rather there are no ready-made servers with java and mysql under ABMaterial.
Yes you need to have a VPS, install java or have it extracted in some directory of your own. If you are going to use mysql database then you need to install on your system. But this is not a problem.
VPS are not expensive you can start from $3 upwards. For simple ABMaterial sites I use even the cheapest for $10 per year. mikr.us - however, the entire site is in Polish, but it is possible to handle everything with a browser translator.

Re 2.
I don't know of tools that convert a webapp to a native Android or iOS app. I think it will not go through with ABMaterial because the logic is written in JAVA on the server and not in JS as it is in the Banano framework and its other derivative frameworks. But you can safely build a webapp that will look very good on mobile devices in the browser.

Well, I was looking, for example, at https://appilix.com/ but they answered me that I can provide them some url of my app so they can test it. But I stil don't have an app for testing. Still in exploring fase...
