Android Question About StartAtBoot

Make sure to use a service other than the starter service for this.

StartAtBoot relies on an intent that is being sent by the OS. Fast boot on some devices can skip this intent.

You cannot do anything if the intent is not broadcasted. You will need to wait for the user to start your app.

It is not related and will not help if the BOOT_COMPLETED intent is not sent.

One thing that can help is to add an intent filter to handle the undocumented android.intent.action.QUICKBOOT_POWERON action.

Your app registers to this intent. You cannot do anything if the OS doesn't send it.
