Android Question App Work in Background?

Hi. I created a App to play a sound after particular time intervals(Multiple Times). When App is open, it works fine. But When the user closes the app. It is not working in the background. . because. I have set to play sound after 2 minutes. how to overcome this?. Here is my project attached
