Hi all.
Is it possible to auto update the app? Let's say once I put the update on the Google paly market the app will update itself on the next start.
I know that it might be updated by the phone itself but from my experience I see a lot of customers who are still using very old versions of my app. So this is not reliable way. I did a lot of tests and found that phone updates itself from the Google play market only if it connected to the charger overnight.
Option to put on the server some text file with a current version number and compare it on every start won't work either - most of the users who run this app aren't technically savvy - they came to the office (this is app for the home attendants and the office manager has installed the app on their phone, they didn't even have email accounts and barely know how to check new emails) so to force them to go to play market is not a good idea.
