I've been asked to create an embedded device for someone, and it strikes me that the best way to do it would be to use a tablet as the hardware and run the app as a dedicated app, so after OS boot the app would launch and run automatically. Is this possible to set up somehow? It's Ok if the user can minimise the app and access android settings etc, I am just keen to know to what extent it may be possible to lock down a tablet to perform a single function. Perhaps completely impossible.
