I am starting to get some reports about some small layout-issues with Samsung Galaxy 4 which is a full HD (4.9 inches, resolution = 1080x1920 with approximately 441 ppi density). I think there are now other new phones with similar screen-specs so it would now be a good opportunity to make sure our apps display correctly on these phones.
I created a specific device profile in AVD as follows for Samsung Galaxy S4
Screen-size: 4.9
Resolution (pix): 1080 x 1920
Size: normal
Screen ratio: long
Density: xxhdpi
I attach an image for ease of reference.
I am just wondering if this is a correct set-up to simulate the Galaxy S4? Can someone confirm? I checked one of my app and it looked OK using these settings but I am unsure since some users mentioned some layout-issues on their Samsung Galaxy S4 phones which I cannot reproduce using above settings.
Also if I want to create a new layout-variant specific for testing Galaxy S4, what parameters would you use?
When running AVD with above settings, GetDeviceLayoutValues in B4A returns:
1080-1824 Scale 2.0 (320 dpi)
Are these the correct values for Samsung Galaxy S4 to use when setting up a new layout variant?
Thanks.
