Just the other day bridge stopped working, keep getting message to restart ABD server. This happens in debug, release, and designer.

No new apps, just stopped working all of a sudden.

Tried with different devices

The IDE shows connected

The device shows "connected" in app on my phone, but wont do anything. Any suggestion?

I have:
re-installed B4A
checked os (is still 4.1 not 4.2)
re-started PC
re-started Device
re-installed B4a bridge
turned off firewall on PC
remove Avast from device (was always there but just in case)

Can you post the compilation window text?

Restarting ADB Server may solve this problem.

How are you connected? (WiFi?). Any Apps running which may block an installation?

yes it's connected, it connects or show's that bridge is connected on device.

No new apps, just stopped working all of a sudden

It doesn't look like B4A-Bridge is connected (or used). This message should not appear when you install with B4A-Bridge:
Restarting ADB Server may solve this problem.

Does it show "connected" in the IDE:

Are you sure that you are targeting the connected B4A-Bridge device?

Yes it shows connected in bottom left of IDE as well as on device.

No
But I have checked in tools drop down menu that I am connected to correct device.

I just played arround with an app and I accidentally disabled the load of my layout :(

And there I had the same behaviour like you describe it: All is connected but there's no installation (at least not seen). So do you have a layout loaded?

I had a similar problem on a Windows 8 machine.
I was switching backand forth on several devices to test my app.
I finally had to reinstall Windows but the problem persisted.
I am working with Windows 7 now with no problems.

I don't know if this helps but I had the same problem - Windows 8.1, just updated Android on my tablet, using new B4A version and suddenly bridge is connected but nothing happens. Came here trying to see if it was a known issue...

I then decided to connect the screen itself (Designer) and I could see it connected on my tablet.

Compiled and run again my App with Release and it worked as usual.
