After downloading and clicking on it, a message appears that i need to download an application from Windows Store to open tge B4A.exe (Installer).

Anyone an idea what is wrong ?

i simply copied the B4A Installer (downloaded yesterday on another PC) to the new one: all is fine and the file can be installed without problems.

So the solution is not found yet, but for me i have it working ;-)
Do you keep older version of B4A?
Can it be installed?

It seems to me the issue is on your version of Windows, not the installer file.
Windows is up to date?

To allow Windows 11 to install apps from any source, you can change your app settings by following these steps:
  1. Open Settings
  2. Select Apps
  3. Select Advanced Apps or Apps & Features
  4. Click the drop-down menu under Choose where to get apps
  5. Select Anywhere
If you want to use mobile apps on your Windows 11 PC, you can install the Amazon Appstore. However, the Amazon Appstore and Windows Subsystem for Android will no longer be available in the Microsoft Store after March 5, 2025.

If you have Windows 11 in S mode, you'll need to permanently switch out of S mode to install apps that aren't available in the Microsoft Store.

Have you checked in Vantage that system is up to date (Lenovo love bios updates - I get about 1 a month)

found this on ms site might work for you ( I take they are referring to the installer)

If anyone else has the same problem the work around is:

1. Right Click

2. Show More Options

3. Troubleshoot compatability

4. Try Recommended settings (skip this if option doesn't come up)

5. Test the program

This allows the program to execute.
Could you follow the steps to right-click and open the properties option, and then upload a screenshot?

I did this on every download i made.
Now i did it again and look: after changing the settings through the MS Webinterface the B4A.exe starts normally :D
