I installed the new update and the wireless B4A Bridge no longer connects to my device. I have rebooted mobile devices and PC several times without success. I can connect using Bluetooth but I require the "rapid" debug feature which is unavailable using the Bluetooth connection.
I had no problems with the wireless Bridge before the update.
Has anyone else experienced this using the new update?
I did a little more experimenting and it appears that my firewall is handling this new update differently than past versions. If I turn off the firewall then the bridge works fine.
cannot you modify your firewall rule as to grant access for all the local IP address dynamically managed by your router?
This way any valid IP is assigned to a testing device, the FW will not block it.
In my home network I let the router manage the x.y.z.100 - x.y.z.200 pool of addresses and that is the range I grant access permission for the B4A executable.

The way of adjusting Norton to allow the Bridge communications is to allow "Basic4Android" full network access in Norton's Smart Firewall "Program Rules". That is what I did and all is OK now and I still have full protection.

Yes I did that and B4A connected to the Android device perfectly.
However I later found that the device was no longer visible in Windows Explorer.
The message in Device Manager was :-
"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"
There is a load of stuff on Google about this message and how to fix it using Regedit, but I found that doing Uninstall in Device Manager and then reconnecting sorted it out.
I have updated V3.8 and the Bridge dont work. My firewall is deaktivated. I have try 2 different devices with android 4.1 and android 4.4.
Before the update all works fine.
Up until now all the problems with B4A-Bridge reported after v3.80 were not really related to the new version. V3.80 didn't change anything related to B4A-Bridge.
