Back to office / homeoffice

After Corona we have to get back to our offices again (with an option of 2 days homeoffice). I liked it very much (saved me money & time). Other companies even now offer 3 or more days.

What do you think about homeoffice? (of course in a job you CAN do)

i have done home office for about 10+ years.
there was a time (2 years ago) that i used to go frequently to the office because job requirement (Despite they hired me as remote) and i hated it, i prefered to quit.

i do freelancing and have a remote job and i couldnt be happier and more efficient.

I have the option to always do home office, but I only do it once a week because I can't work focused enough at home due to 2 fur noses that need attention.

But I have the luxury that the office is around the corner and I hardly lose any time.

I much prefer working from home. I started my business (officially) nearly 7 years ago and have built up an office that I enjoy working in. I think, so long as you can motivate yourself to actually work, its the best option. Now its hard to pull me away, but I have outdoor interests too so theres a nice balance.

Oh wait... you said a job I CAN do... its coding... so... hmmm ?

i would like that too but in my company they don't offer that option. even if corona i had to go to work since my work is considered as "necessary" and we were the whole corona period open. :(

It is not possible to work from home (first, my kids will kick(like a ball)-hack my pc-full it with any game in planet, second my wife is gonna kill me).

When had corona quarantine - our company was open because of services (remote service) - not selling...
That period was so nice, peaceful, with so much time, for family and for coding !

Now I am gonna crazy, because I am working Full time, have not enough time to code... to create "something" from scratch... and the money not enough for nothing (every product/price is higher +30-200%) gasoline for cars.... electricity!!!! (this war in Ukraine killing us)

I am lucky that my company now allows in person at office.

Last two years working at home as taught me how efficient is to code in a development environment with table, chairs etc. than in a soft sofa or dinning table.

I go alternate days at office to get some respite from heat and public traffic.

I have been working at home for 12 years, I prepared a room to be used as an office.
Several times I have been offered interesting salary increases if I go to work at the company (which is more than 1000 km away) and I don't accept at all.
I have also turned down good jobs with big salary increases, but I prefer to work at home, to avoid commuting, to prepare my own food, to work at the time I want.
I would only accept to work in the company's office if I had no other choice in life :D

This means you have a peaceful home; all for you; at your own rule.
All are not as lucky as you.
Yes, my wife also works at home and uses another room as an office.
We are each in our own room and don't disturb each other.
We share the housework well.
