Share My Creation BeatStep - Make the Beat follow your Step!

Hello everyone,

I am really excited to announce my first Android-App today. It's called BeatStep.

What does it do?
Well, it allows you to create two different playlists with your favourite songs. On the first list you may put your calming songs and on the second list the more driving and powering songs. After that you will set a speed limit at which BeatStep will crossfade between the songs of the two lists.
For example when you are outside and jogging, and you overstep the limit, beatstep will seamlessly crossfade from a slow and chilling song to a powering song. This allows you to support your sportive activities with the suitable sound. That will be a totally new experience of your song collection!

BeatStep supports ID3v2-Tag information of your MP3-Files. That means it does not only show the artist and the title of the current song, it will also display coverart on screen (if available in your file). Your speed is measured by your device's GPS functionality.

EDIT TO ADD: Now you will have to add tablet support, this is how is looking on my tablets, I cannot use the app because I can't find the buttons, the phones are OK.

Kind of makes sense...I dont expect people to be running around with a tablet in their hand

You have 2 choices:

1- Modify your AndroidManifest to support only SMALL SCREENS.
2- Center the panels containing the views on the device.

On a separate note, I tried your app and well...didn't work as expected, this is what I noticed:

I set up the speed to 25 kph (even though I was driving 35 MPH+)

1- The music plays but the needle doesn't move, the GPS didn't turn on.
2- If the GPS is on the needle moves but NO MUSIC, if I open the playlist and then close it then the music play but NO GPS.
3- If I turn the phone on after it goes to sleep, sometimes 2 tracks play at the same time..oh! and NO GPS.

Basically, the GPS is inconsistent and the app gets whacky when is running and the phone goes to sleep.

I had some kick-ass tracks I wanted to listen while driving but, no dice.

@NJDude: I've been testing and testing...but bugs like you mentioned did not appear. Can you describe *exactly* step by step what you were doing?

There's only one step: Run the app.

I will have to dedicate some time to troubleshoot it and see if there's something else.
