Android Question Best Barcode Scanning Library to do this ?

Hi

I want to create a app that has a barcode scanner built in, I have tried all the different ones that appear on the forum and can't find one to do what I need, they all take over the full screen or the ones that don't seem to stop me aligning the scanner to the place I want it.

Basically I want the scanner to be at the top of the screen, like a letterbox that I can show and hide by using a panel below it, I've attached a rough diagram.

I would appriciate any thoughts or references you can throw my way.

I don't understand what the Java stuff ?
