Android Question Bluetoot to Serial Device not Connecting

Hi, I have been using (with great success) SIIG Bluetooth to serial devices to communicate with equipment that have serial communication capabilities. Currently I am working on a project where my customer purchased and supplied me the tablet. It is an ASUS 7" Tablet Model Number NE173X running version 4.2.1. I installed my base program on it that makes the connection to the Bluetooth device but it will not connect. I am getting an error. "An error has occurred in sub: java.lang.NullPointerException Continue?" If I install the same program on my Droid Razer Maxx version 4.1.2, it works great, as it always has on other tablets in the past. So something is up with this tablet but I am not sure what? Any ideas what I might look at? Thanks in advance

One can say it's about discovery or that 7"tab is not in slave mode....etc.. but without seeing the code it is almost impossible to guess.

The only thing I see displayed in the logs tab is "LogCat connected to: B4A-Bridge: asus ME173X-" I tried Release mode and debug mode.

Oh ok using Emulator. I did the same thing and got the same log. I would expect errors on my computer however because I am not paired up with the device. The 7" tablet however is paired. It must be either a hardware thing or some setting in the device because I keep coming back to the fact that my phone works fine.
