If BroadcastReceiver can be used to "catch" a msg.
Can it be used to catch a phone ring ???
If so can you point me to a sample?

You can listen to the PhoneStateChanged event with PhoneEvents: Basic4android - Phone

So you can't use BroadcastReceiver for this ?
with BroadcastReceiver you can catch and stop the msg. if needed
why not with BroadcastReceiver, "phone ringing", catch and stop ?
